The Christmas illumination on the Royal Route was launched on 4 December 2024 and can be admired until mid-February.
The lights also illuminate Świętokrzyska, Długa, Freta, Kościelna, Nowomiejska, Piekarska, Piwna, Podwale, Świętojańska, Zapiecek streets as well as the Barbakan, the Multimedia Fountain Pack and both the Old and New Town squares. In addition, entrepreneurs financed the illumination of Nowy Świat Street.
The festively illuminated Nowy Świat and Krakowskie Przedmieście Streets on the weekends of 7-8 December, 14-15 December, 21-22 December and from 24 to 29 December and from 4 to 6 January will be transformed into a pedestrian zone, with bicycle traffic permitted.
