Metro Line M2 in Bemowo – trains will take a shorter route

Construction of the final section of Warsaw’s second metro line is nearing completion in Bemowo. Passengers will soon be able to use three new stations: Lazurowa, Chrzanów and Karolin. Test trains are already running on this section of the route; now it is time to connect it to the existing section of the underground network. Consequently, Bemowo and Ulrychów stations must be closed to passenger traffic. This means that from 17 to 25 October, trains on the M2 line will only run as far as Księcia Janusza station. Normal metro services will resume during the night of Sunday 25 October to Monday 26 October.

While the two metro stations in Bemowo are closed, a replacement bus service will be in operation. Bus routes will be extended, and some services will run more frequently.
