null Renovation of the tram tracks on Aleje Jerozolimskie
Renovation of the tram tracks along Aleje Jerozolimskie will begin on the last weekend of May. The rails will be replaced from Starynkiewicza Square to De Gaulle Roundabout and, in sections, on the Poniatowski Bridge viaduct. Also five level crossings will be renovated. The work is scheduled for completion in August 2026.
On the night of 25 May, the track slabs will be dismantled – however, this will not affect tram services. Tram services on Aleje Jerozolimskie – from Starynkiewicza Square to Waszyngtona Roundabout – will be suspended on 30 May.
A replacement bus service, line Z-9, will be introduced – buses will run between Plac Narutowicza and Rondo Waszyngtona daily; during weekday peak hours, they will run approximately every 2 minutes. In addition, buses on route 158 will run twice as frequently as usual, approximately every 7.5 minutes during peak hours – its route also runs through the city centre, along the closed tram route.
Direct access from Wawer and Praga-Południe to the Stadion Narodowy metro station will be provided by buses on route Z21. Trams on the additional route 79 will supplement route 9 in Ochota, facilitating access to the city centre, and in Praga they will replace it on Aleja Waszyngtona and Grochowska Street.
