Walking the Royal Route in December
You can already feel the atmosphere of Christmas in Warsaw. After dusk, the Christmas tree on the Castle Square and the illumination on the Trakt Królewski (Royal Route) are lit up. Nowy Świat and Krakowskie Przedmieście will be transformed into a pedestrian zone during December weekends and holidays. The section from the de Gaulle roundabout to Castle Square will be closed: 7-8 December, 14-15 December, 21-22 December and from 24 to 29 December and from 4 to 6 January. On Monday, 23 December, as well as from 30 December to 3 January, pedestrians will walk on the roadway in a shorter section - between Swietokrzyska and Miodowa Streets.
