From 1 April 2026, there will be a change of waste collection operator in five districts.
The change affects the following districts:
- Rembertów,
- Wawer,
- Wesoła,
- Praga-Północ,
- Praga-Południe.
Information about the change of waste collection operator in the districts of Rembertów, Wawer and Wesoła in the capital city of Warsaw
From 1 April 2026, Miejskie Przedsiębiorstwo Oczyszczania w m.st. Warszawie sp. z o.o. (MPO) will begin collecting municipal waste in the districts of Rembertów, Wawer and Wesoła in the capital city of Warsaw.
MPO will replace the current operator, Lekaro sp. z o.o.
In February, MPO will begin the process of placing its municipal waste containers on your property/in your waste collection areas:
- first in single-family housing,
- then in multi-family housing and other properties covered by the municipal waste management system.
Please store and secure the bins before using them. The bins delivered by MPO should be made available for waste collection from 1 April 2026.
The old bins should be collected by the current operator, Lekaro, by 31 March this year.
The process of taking over municipal waste collection by the new operator is complex and may cause temporary inconvenience.
We would like the takeover process to be smooth and trouble-free.
In connection with the above, please provide the following information and materials about the properties you manage as soon as possible, concerning:
- The specific nature of the property, in particular:
- unusual locations of bin shelter,
- access restrictions,
- special rules for the entry of waste collection vehicles.
- Access to the property and waste collection points, i.e.:
- contact details of the person on the property (host, cleaning crew, security),
- access codes to gates/wickets/bin shelter,
- remote controls/keys/pins for gates, bin shelter or other waste collection points, in the number of 7 items.
Please ensure that all keys and remote controls provided are clearly labelled with the property address and the name/designation of the bin shelter, so that they can be properly identified.
Please deliver marked keys and remote controls in person between 7:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. or send them to the following address:
