Warsaw Public Bike Veturilo is a network of city bike rentals available to anyone who wants to cycle around the city. The system's name was chosen by residents and means "means of transport" in Esperanto.
This is the 15th anniversary season of Warsaw City Bike, which runs from March 1st to November 30th. This year, 3,460 bikes are available: 3,130 traditional city bikes, 300 electric bikes, and 30 tandems. There are 344 stations available – see the station map.
To rent a bike, all you need is a smartphone with the Veturilo app. Simply top up your account, then scan the QR code on the bike or enter its number. The lock on the wheel will release automatically. When the ride is over, simply slide the lock.
The first 20 minutes of rental are free, and the first hour of riding a traditional bike costs only 1 złoty. Veturilo is compatible with four systems in towns near Warsaw: Otwock, Piaseczno, Pruszków, and Józefów. Veturilo vehicles from any of the compatible systems can be dropped off at Veturilo stations, and Warsaw bikes can be easily returned in any of these towns.
