How to get the refund of ZTM ticket costs in the case of SKM train delay.

  1. The request for the refund of ticket costs in the case of train delay can be submitted to one of the ZTM Passenger Service Points or sent by letter to the following address: ZTM ul. Grochowska 316/320, 03-839 Warszawa.

  2. The passenger who submits the refund request is obliged to present/submit the ticket he/she had during the ride.

  3. A personal certificate issued to the Passenger by SKM, which includes information about the date and time of the delay, train number and number of the ticket used by the Passenger, should be attached to the request.

  4. If the passenger does not have a certificate issued by SKM, he/she can present a ticket with a stamp bearing the signature of the train conductor, and the date and reference number of the delayed train. In this case, a photocopy of the ticket certified as a true copy of the original should be prepared and attached to the request.

  5. If the passenger does not have a certificate issued by SKM, the request will be considered only if the Fare Collection System contains information about the tickets being validated in the delayed train.

  6. ZTM considers the request based on the train delay confirmation received from SKM.

  7. Requests are considered within 30 days of their submission to ZTM.

  8. The amount to be refunded is calculated in accordance with the provisions of Chapter 3 of the Rules and Regulations concerning Local Public Transport in the City of Warsaw as attached to Ordinance No. 790/2016 of the Mayor of Warsaw of 27 May 2016 (as amended) ‒ provided that, when calculating the amount to be refunded, all the delays for which the Passenger holds a certificate and which occurred in the validity period of his/her ticket are taken into consideration.

  9. If the request is granted, the passenger is notified about this fact in writing. The refund is made to the bank account indicated by the passenger.

  10. Requests containing claims for compensation for the sustained losses will be forwarded to the Operator for consideration.
